In Topic: One Month Thai Language School

You will find good reports on many schools by Tod Daniels on website "womenlearningthai". Tod Daniels will also reply to you personally with questions you may have.

In general - you shouldn't even consider Schools whose primary business appears to be Ed Visas. It should be a School with scheduled classes 5 days a week, typically for 3-4 hours/day. Most Schools will give you one free trial lesson.

There have been good reports on Pro Language in Times Square.

In Topic: Tired And Lethargic All The Time.

Chops - I am more than twice your age and over the years have "quite scientifically" studied my own level of energy both physically and mentally (and modifications thereof) - AND - observed others with their complaints etc. etc..

As has been said before - I feel - it is very often "attitude" that slows us down. But even "attitude" has a cause and effect - therefore there is most likely an "imbalance" in your system. An "attitude" seems very often impossible to change when one suffers from lack of energy - from lack of "elan vital".

A blood analysis should specifically define what imbalance you may - if any - have. In my earlier years in Thailand I also "suffered" from a certain lethargy - which I now seem to totally control.
In my own case - I choose to take Multivitamins and specifically a B-12 supplement and ofcourse drink plenty of liquid (WATER that is) in this hot and humid climate.

Your current private lessons seem rather expensive.
You will get better results - without any cost - from the website Thailanguagewiki.com
This website was put together by the Foreign Service Institute - has audio with transliteration but also with Thaiscript - once you learned how to read it.

I have personally used Rosetta Stone - which I bought several years ago before relocating to Thailand. I found it to be not very useful for beginners - but useful at the "advanced beginners" level.

Good Luck

In Topic: Really Weird Question

Difficult question to answer - when you do not know what it is - BUT - beware - you do not want a "pain reliever" but rather a "muscle relaxant".

Difference being - pain reliever will "mask the problem" temporarily - muscle relaxant will reduce/relax spasm, caused by sprain, sport injuries, rheumatic pain etc etc etc..

"Neotica Balm" made by Thai Nakorn Patana Co. for relief of muscular aches and pains. Their website "thainakorn"
