(Title should read: U.S. style classes...) Anyone know about schools or companies who offer courses in extended learning for adults...? Tech/Vocational schools and College/Universities in the States offer evening courses for working people on a wide variety of topics and interests. Haven't found an institution like this in my searches... would appreciate any relevant guidance from knowledgable forum subscribers. Thanks.

These 'Singles Play' events are open to all players both men and women who reach their 30th birthday in 2010. Some exceptions have been allowed... (27, 28, 29...).

The format of the series has changed from 'Age Category' to 'Skill Level' for all competitors.

This change is necessary to modernize veteran tennis in Thailand and to provide a better playing experience for all participants.

Players are encouraged to read through the 'Skill Level' descriptions below and select a rating that most closely resembles their 'match play' abilities. (www.bangkoktennis.net)

'Self rating' is recommended for each player. Rating verification clinics can be scheduled and conducted for interested persons... the cost is 500 baht. Contact Frank Miller (085 134 2010) to arrange a 'Skill Level' verification.

Tennis is pursued by those who appreciate keen competition and good sportsmanship. With this in mind we are confident that participants in the 'Senior Series' will choose an accurate rating for themselves.

The tournament director reserves the right to adjust player ratings for tournament participants and to combine categories to ensure a full draw.

Location:  Bangkok Patana School Courts (8)
Time: 0800 – 1600 Saturday & Sunday
Format:  Knock out singles with consolation round; Players will call their own lines.
Scoring:  8 game Pro Set; Super TB at 7 all;
2nd deuce is final point of game.
Semis & Finals:  2 regulation sets w/ 3rd set Super TB;
Cost:  500 baht per event. Payable by deadline.  
Entry Deadline:  Tuesday before event – 6pm

Draw Limit: 16 players per category
Draws and match times will be posted at bangkoktennis.net on Thursday afternoon prior to scheduled events.
Attention:  Check in 30 minutes prior to scheduled first round match time.
10 minute default rule will be enforced.
Stand By:  In the likely event of a full draw, we will maintain a  list of players who are available on short notice to fill in as needed.
Note:  Categories may be combined to ensure full draws. Player ratings may be adjusted by director.

This series is open for all players who will reach minimum age requirement in 2010. Both men and women are welcome to join. Its purpose is to create an opportunity for individual pursuit of the game in a friendly environment of sportsmanship and keen competition - in a timely manner. Entry deadlines will be observed and match schedules made available online at www.bangkoktennis.net by Thursday afternoon prior to each event. (Click 'Entry Info' tab on the front page). The tournament draws will be set on Wednesday of the event week at the 2nd floor of Sports Academy (Sukhumvit between Soi 13/15) starting at 1830 and will be open to the public in keeping with the classical nature of organized tennis events.
