I buy real Rolex only, not in Thailand, but in Switzerland, where Rolex is made.
Big deal! Where it in Thailand and everyone will assume it's a fake!

Or try and steal it.  I only bring TAGs to SE Asia, Eastern Europe and Central America.  Too much attention nit good except Daytonna with leather band may go unnoticed there.

I gave up wearing a watch the day I retired. Posted Image

I took mine off 3 years ago and put it somewhere but I have no idea where. The battery is probably flat by now and no it wasn't a fake anything just a cheapo for about 500 baht I think.

In Topic: 12V 18Amp Or 20Amp Battery Wanted

I wanted a 12 volt 12 amp battery for my Yamaha 535 Virago and I found one in Khampaeng Phet 65 km from where I live for 1,400 baht.

I went home and measured the battery box an figured that it would fit so I went back and bought it.rinding the frame apart

After 2 hours of trying to get the battery into its slot and cutting part of the plastic mounting box apart, skinning my knuckles and teaching anyone in earshot a new and different version of English I gave up.

The battery was about 3mm too long and about4 mm too wide,

Being left with the option of taking both fuel tanks off or angle grinding the frame apart and putting it back together with black bodge tape I gave up and bought a smaller 12 volt 9 amp battery,

Be VERY CAREFUL and make sure that the replacement battery will physically fit before you buy it from a distance away7 from your bike.

I was lucky that I know the lady at the shop who gave me 100 baht off the 12 amp battery AND took it back and then sold me a 9 amp battery for 900 baht.

The 12 amp battery needed to have the acid put in it and left overnight before charging the next day.

Fortunately for me I tried to fit it BEFORE adding the acid or I would have lost the 1,400 baht and have had to buy another battery as well.

Why would anyone register their car in someone else's name?

I do that, car, bikes & house are all in the wife's name, why not? We got a lovely boy, been together for 5 years. If you can't trust each other, what's the point of marriage?

Completely agree. It's worked for me for 22 years so far.
12 years of marriage and 7 years before that. It worked for me too.

Except for the bit where I sold the truck to her and she STILL hasn't paid the 2 baht yet.Posted Image

I think this is from SWMBO. Posted Image

House and land in her name and I must get around to put the motorbike in her name sometime.

In Topic: Creaking Bones And Muscles Need Help

I am 68 and started to use my epicyclic machine on Monday for the first time in a couple of years.

It is the kind you stand on and hold the grip and walk but you don't actually make contact with the ground so there is no real stress on your knees.

I did 1 km in 2.57 which I thought was good as I hadn't done any exercise for a couple of years.

The next day the muscles in my thighs were as tight as bowstrings and ALL my body ached.

I have had too many other things to do this week so I will probably start again next week on 500 metres and slower for a week then slowly build up which I should have done in the first place.

They probably sound like the OOkaaaay Yaar lot wearing green wellies and drive Chelsea tractors.
