Very odd. Most East European scumbags normally head for Britain. Probably full up, so they came East.
Agreed, but for the last years in Thailand it is pretty common. Eastern Europeans are quite good at scamming. Just how many Romanian ATM gangs have been caught so far? Many! Britain slowly becomes less attractive as the quality of life goes down the hill over there. So the scumbags will look for better opportunities, where? I don't know, may be they know :)

Belarus did right. Less with human rights as the criminality spikes too much in the too human right societies. The criminals must pay. In severe cases like this death penalty is absolutely right! Look where is England heading right now!

Yesterday we were told the rainy season would start in 5-6 months. Which is it? 3 or 5-6? Any consensus among the planners?

It starts in May up to the middle of October, when the predominant winds are from the south-west. It is called south-west monsoon. But thunderstorms can occur like this year any month, usually more frequent in April. These are called summer thunderstorms. Sometimes they are frequent, but sometimes less frequent. And for this year they predict more frequent rain for Summer months.

In Topic: Can'T Access Many Websites On True ...Anyone With The Same Problems?

I use TOT and I can access the above websites. I live in Bangkok, Dusit. I used True before and it was very bad for the area I live, speeds were too slow for a prolonged period, nothing happened after calling them for months! Then I decided to switch. TOT satisfies me right now.

Anyway be aware, research first which provider is the best for your area as TOT according to some users also has problems in certain areas.

What heavy rains have we been experiencing in an around BKK?  I haven't seen any?

There was a sprinkle in Don Meuang and Meung Ake last week.
It hasn't rained in your area but it rained a lot in Western Bangkok. Dusit witnessed 6 heavy downpours this January, which I believe in accumulation is more than 100 mm of rain.

Talking about the article I haven't seen any work to be done regarding the drainage system. I would say the situation is worse, especially in ex-flooded areas. The sewage system is full of garbage and sand from the left sandbags. I won't be surprised to see more flash floods during heavy rains this year.
