Busy at the moment but I may get out that way in the next day or so.

If you look here, http://www.healthlin...es/hfile49b.stm (Article on How to disinfect Drinking water), then the amount of bleach (household bleach 5%) that has to be added to a Tank of around 2000 Liters (which the OP is asking about) is around 90ml (6 tablespoons).

If drinking yes.
However a little more won't hurt and will also clean the pipes.Posted Image

Well I might say being here 6 yrs.

I feel uncomfortable in Patong as apposed to Pattaya on many occasions and I have spent lots of time there.
Pattaya shits on it except for the beaches and the out of town Thai's! (Tuk Tuks)

My friend got married in Surin in a small village and the head cop told us he couldn't come because he had to go shoot somebody that shot somebody!!!

My mate up that way only found out after waking up and seeing police and dozens of others in uniform this morning that a serial killer was hiding under the house next door (5 killed)

The foot valve should take care of that.
These are common check valves but I am going to fit a filter before it because it keeps being jammed open from the incoming debris in the water.
If the debris is that bad it will only clog the C/valve up.
U need a strainer on the bottom of the incoming pipe.
The C/valve in your picture example are of poor quality.
The pin that the flap works on, tend to break within a year or so. (Depends on how harsh the water is)
You can get better quality ones.
The guy in Homemart said it was top quality.

Everything is with them except the pin.Posted Image

Have a look at one and see how thin the pin / axle is
