Hi guys
I've been living and working in Thailand with company and work permit for several years.
Its time I got a car
I'm looking at a downpayment of about 400,000 baht on a 800,000 baht car
The bank (Siam Commercial Bank) told me finance is possible with my passport, work permit and bank statement
my questions is...
do I need to go through the bank, or can I just go straight to the car dealer to get finance direct from them?
Is there is difference in interest rates / payments etc if I go to one or the other?
thanks for your help!!

Update On Kota Bharu Embassy For Multiple Non B
2012-02-15 13:16:02
Hi Guys
I went to Kota Bharu, Malaysia again to renew my 1 year multiple non B, and had no problem at all.
I took all relevant company documents plus copies of work permit & passport etc....my work permit had 6 months and 2 weeks left on it.
My company is registered at 2m baht.
From Krabi it costs about 1000 baht to get there via 3 different minibus + taxi from the Malay border. About 8 hours travel time.
Stay the night, put your visa application in the following morning, and pick it up the next morning
Then head back to the border and into Thailand.
This might only seem a viable option people in Krabi, but its feasible from BKK too:...
Fly to Narathiwat with Air Asia
Taxi to border
Taxi to KB (30 mins from border)
Stay the night, put your visa application in the following morning, and pick it up the next day.
You pick up the visa at 9-10am, which will give you time to get over the border to Narathiwat for the flight to BKK at 1230

Non B 1 Year Renewal In Laos?
2012-01-26 18:18:36
Hi guys
I normally renew my 1 year non B, (with all company documents, in Kota Bharu, Malaysia - always goes smoothly.
This time I'll be in BKK, so was thinking about doing it in Laos...
...has anyone had any experience of renewing non B there?
I want to avoid problems like..
in Penang your company needs to be registered for 8m baht otherwise you've got no chance.
In Kulal Lumpur if you've got less than 6 months left on your work permit, they will only give you 3 months non B
any suggestions on Laos?

Honda Cbr 150R Fi
2011-11-15 19:38:20
Hi
I'm trying to get a new HONDA CBR 150R FI
I live in Krabi but they are out of stock, and due to the floods dont know when the next ones will arrive from BKK
The local Honda dealer quoted me 88,000 baht which seems a bit high - however I cant seem to find any prices on the net
I dont mind going to BKK to get one if necessary, but would like to see if the price is cheaper than down here
has anyone got any relevant links/info?
would appreciate the help!
