Solar water heater at it's simplest form is black tube of water on the ceiling.
Abo Solar sells the solar water heaters. Pressurized are somewhere around 100kBath and unpressurized start from 10k, comes with 150-300 L tanks (made in China).
One of the Phuket TV members did buy similar product to his/hers hotel some time ago. Would be nice to know if these has been installed and what is the outcome.
I have been thinking of buying the Chinese models to my home.

They aren't actually jellyfish, they are a colony of symbiotic creatures, but the sting and treatment is similar.
I went to Kata Beach today. I walked the length of the beach and counted over 50 blue bottles on the sand and several more were washing ashore. Most were very small. Body's about 2-3cm, tentacles 10-20cm, some larger, and saw one in the water that eventually washed ashore that had a body about 10cm with tentacles almost 2m long. One of the lifeguards I showed them to had never seen one before and grabbed one before being told by the other guard that they are "laun mak". I ran into PMBC staff that said they were there to check on the bluebottle situation. They took some pictures of the ones I had collected and are bringing them back to their labs. Guards there said they hadn't received any reports of stings yet, so that's good. When I figure out how to get pictures of my camera I will post them.

I would never pay extra for the dealers on ebay on this kind of item. I hope nobody would do that.
However if some company does the work to bring the devices to here in Thailand, I'm ok to pay some extra for it.

Not criticising, just trying to understand the logic...
I understood that the Raspery PI is done by non profit organization by the idea to provide cheap computers for people who don't have too much money to play with.
Now some people get them selves to the queue line with an idea to sell the items later on with profit. These people make others to wait longer for their devices to maket themselves a few euros. I compare this activity to people who buy concert/game tickets and sell those in the front of the event with higher price. It's wrong in my opinion.

APC is the brand I would recommend. They have huge variety of products. Take your pick by how much backup power do you need.
If your laptop battery is dead I strongly recommend to buy an replacement for it. It make an really big difference for usage. I tried to hold on with an old battery, but when I finally got a new one.. it was like colors came back to the screen again.

Maxman71: how come? English is de facto esperanto, which is currently the most common language in the world. If people from smaller languages wishes to interact with the rest of the world, they simply have to learn English in current world. That has nothing to do with arrogance, it's simply practicality.
It's great if us who live in this country will learn local language, but that is not and will not be required for the visitors of this country. Still there is a need to communicate. That's why it's very important for locals to learn English if they wish to be able to talk to people from various countries.
It's not so far back in the time when French was the language of the diplomats. Some day in the future people will value Chinese way more than today.
