Thanks Guys
comments are appreciated. I probably don;t have a problem with the limited service on the flight and can be fairly self sufficient given the rules about what can be taken on board. Their planes have always appeared comfortable and clean and staff have been good in my limited experience. It will mean a flight to Christchurch and a delay or stopover in KL for onwards to CNX but maybe that i itself is a good experience. I will report after the flight for others
Cheers

Bringing this thread back to the original posting.
It took a few emails and reminders, but Air Asia made the refund to my credit card with a message of apology for it taking so long.
A bit of effort from me in making contact but full marks to them for making the payment, I had written it off.

As the author of the first translation above, I would say that Yoot's rendering in Thai is superior to mine. It's just a bit more exact and, my guess is, to a native speaker, would read more naturally. The first translation is accurate (except for my confusing ข่วน with ควน
but Yoot's is better.
Thank you for this guys, much appreciated

Maybe calling them is better than e-mail. If issue is not resolved you have 60 days to FIle a dispute with your credit card company.
Thanks for that. I just know the issues I faced taying to call them and even discuss with them when I was in an AIR ASIA country. Now back in New Zealand it would be a nightmare.
I doubt the dispute would hold water as all payments were authorised by me. It was just that they agreed to refund if I bought a third ticket so I think there would be little the card company could actually do
thanks anyway
