Electronic Components Suppliers

I'm trying to find a Thai supplier of components for some small-medium lighting projects.

Stuff I'm looking for is individual LED's; resistors; toggle-switches; small solar panels; crocodile clips; strip-board; breadboard; PCB's; solder; flux and suchlike.

Would ideally like to visit a supplier's store rather than just order on-line.

I'm guessing Bangkok would be the only place with such suppliers and Pantip Plaza etc are (I assume) not what I'm looking for as they seem to sell finished articles, rather than the raw components (but I could be wrong as I've never been looking for components when I've visited Pantip, in the past).

I would be grateful if anyone has any info to share?

Best Bar Or Restaurant To Eat Lamb?

Where (if anywhere) can I eat decent lamb, roast or chops, cooked a la Anglais (none of your fancy nouveau, pink'n'bloody, nonsense) - with mint sauce, rosemary and traditional spuds/veg/gravy?

At a reasonable cost, of course (none your fancy nouveau wallet-ransacking price nonsense).

Anyone willing to reveal their best-kept secrets, please?

A Decent Steak

This is bound to have been asked and answered before but is probably worth updating, anyway.

Where can I get a decent steak in Thailand without paying silly money?

I don't expect a steak to the standard that my American cousins are used to (although that would be so good).

Just a "decent" average steak at a decent average price will do.

Dubai Duty-Free

Hi,

I'm traveling to Thailand via Dubai and am looking for a new mobile phone (and maybe a netbook or tablet PC). Phone I've got my eye on is a T-Mobile 4G Slide.

Am I likely to find one in Dubai duty-free?

Is there much of a saving to be had (as I haven't bought from a duty-free for over a decade)?

Bangkok To Kanchanaburi - Flood Problems

In light of the current flooding problems being experienced, does anyone know whether road, bus and/or train travel between Bangkok and Kanchanaburi is affected?

Is there any official website that provides national and local travel information (in English)?
