What Happens To The 800,000 Bt. When You Die?

I posted this question on the "will advice" thread, but I guess nobody saw it there. So: if you're on a retirement visa and have transferred 800,000 Bt. into Thailand, what happens to the money when you die? Is it inherited by your children (assuming there is no wife/husband), or do the Thai authorities get the money? Should it be dealt with in a will? Assuming it is inherited by your children, can they transfer the money out of Thailand?

Any Shops Selling Wheelchairs In Pattaya?

I am looking to buy a so-called Transit or Transporter wheelchair (the light-weight type with four small wheels), and I have found that they are unbelievably expensive in my country (in spite of the fact that they are "made in China")... I'll probably be in Pattaya in a few months' time, so I was wondering if I couldn't buy such a wheelchair there... I'm sure I have seen shops specializing in medical equipment in Chiang Mai, but I'm not sure about Pattaya... Does anyone have any information about this?

Downtown Inn Deaths

Yesterday 17 August there was finally a report about the Downtown Inn deaths on French international television TV5. The report implied that there had been some sort of final conclusions about the case and that the five deaths had been caused by "pesticides". They showed the governor of Chiang Mai saying that from now on hospitals would have to report any cases of suspicious illness to the authorities, or something like that (this seems to be the only measure that's been taken by the authorities). Does anybody in Chiang Mai know more about this? I have to confess that I haven't been following this story in a while...

Hiring Someone To Look After An Elderly Person

What would be the costs of hiring someone to look after an elderly foreign lady (who is beginning to have trouble walking) for a few hours a day?
