3G - What To Do ?

2011-11-23 10:57:59

Hi,

I would like some advice. I use DTAC and own a Blackberry Curve 9300 which is a 3G enabled telephone.

The phone was bought by someone for me as a present and, according to DTAC, will not work with their 3G network. It will only work with AIS apparently, which uses a 900 Mhz frequency.

Questions; is 3G worth having on a phone and if so what is AIS 3G like in comparision to the others?

I was going to use a 3G phone as a tethering device to my work and home PC's.

I don't want to change the handset as I like BB's and this is the only one that our company will allow to receive their e-mail.

Many thanks

Sony Bdp-S370 Blu Ray

2010-07-26 13:32:14

I recently bought a Sony S370 Blu Ray player here in Bangkok.

Plays Blu Ray discs like a charm and also has the added benefit of spinning SACD's as well - which is great for me.

However, I cannot get the thing to connect to the internet, which Sony proudly advertizes as one of this player's big selling points.

I am using an ethernet connection at the moment as the local Sony dealer does not have the wi-fi dongle required to connect and avoid all the cable clutter.

Can anyone give me a few pointers here? - it is connected through a 5 point ethernet switch to a broadband router (12 Mbps package).

Any help would be appreciated as Sony Thailand tech support seem to work 'banking hours' only and not the usual 24/7 like Samsung, LG etc.

Thank you.
