I see a download for the 8320 but no 8310. Can I use the 8310 one? I want to be able to input Thai language from the keyboard. Thanks.

I just saw this:

Perhaps this is the way to go? Some company called VFS in the Glas Haus building? Maybe the Indian Embassy misinformed or is trying to get me to go elsewhere?

I agree, the design inside is bad. Hell, there isn't even a single bloody ATM in that entire gigantic station. Lack of facilities is disappointing. Yes, the ticketing issue is hilarious, too. Has anyone been there recently? Most of the ticket machines are out of order!
Furthermore, connecting to the MRT station is just plain ghetto. Who in their right mind decided to make an airport link that forces travelers to hike with all their luggage from the MRT station across a busy intersection, a couple sets of train tracks, etc. just to get to the entrance of the train station? Why not an overhead footbridge or underground tunnel? It just doesn't seem that well-planned.

Residency for state pricing is based on where you live, work, and pay taxes; it is not based on the color of your skin or whether you have blonde hair, blue eyes, or a big "farang" nose.
You could live in Bangkok 20 years, have a work permit, pay taxes, or even naturalize and get a Thai passport. If you look white you still will be charged 1000+ baht to see Muay Thai boxing at Lumpini.
This is ridiculous. There is definitely in state and out of state pricing in the U.S. as well as tuition differences for residency and non residency for universities. I'd say that's a big dual pricing difference. In the case of Universities out of state/out of country tuition can be 3-4 times as much.

Since there is no real equivalent to local government taxes, the practice of discounts for locals found in some Western countries does not seem to have a close parallel in Thailand. In most other situations in Western countries the practice would be illegal, and I think it is that, plus the fact that private companies as well as public bodies jump on the bandwagon, and the lack of transparency (writing in Thai script), that alienates most people. Which ever way you look at it, the policy has a cost to it in terms of hearts and minds which partly offsets the extra revenue earned. Pity the fair price website has folded.
In Topic: Air Conditioner Thermostate Not Stable

My AC unit doesn't have a remote control. There is a mechanical thermostat on the wall. I'm pretty sure the sensor is in there because I hear a "click" originating within it every time the AC goes on or off. This is a Trane brand AC that's at least 20 years old, according to the technician.
I'll probably switch it out to a digital one, and move the thermostat into the center of the room instead of near the glass door.
The thermal sensor and compressor on-off control are not on the remote control, but are built into the fan coil unit. If the fan coil unit is installed high up due to the room having a high ceiling, the temperature at fan coil level will probably be higher than the temperature shown on the remote control.
