#5181441 Thailand Is The Worlds Brothel.. Too Funny.

Posted David006 on 2012-04-01 07:05:17

Is Hi-So now, by default, any girl that  a TV member partners with that they met outside of a  bar?

Seems to me the original meaning is an individual with a an upper crust name, background , a ton of cash and mixing in the same circles...nothing to do with tertiary education...bit like what would be called "old money" in the UK maybe?

We could have suggestions for a new word to describe those fine ladies met outside of the bar environment since Hi-So is,in many cases, not the ideal adjective....

maybe a newspeak word like  unslut or double unbar, unbike...Posted Image

Proof-reading / writing essays for rich Thai University students... with the work outsourced to TV members using an auction system to find the cheapest native English speaker available for each assignment!...

#5171255 Which One Is Safer ? Chiang Mai Or Bangkok

OP.. what element of safety do you refer to

If it attack from hordes of locusts in biblical proportions then I think they will be about equal.
If its  from trolls // goblins they stay away from bridges in both cities as they both have them.( Bridges I mean)

Razor cuts from shaving, spotted owl attacks, herpes, Lou Gehrigs disease when your name is not Lou Gehrig, being knocked out by an ice puck that breaks the safety glass, having your teepee collapse on you, attacked by marauding aztec indians, pygmies with blow darts, runway som tam carts, isotopes of hydrogen, nuclear fall out from japan, cigeratura poisoning , fires in high story hotels, fire in low hotels, return of Thaksin, a overthrow of the government by San Suu Kyi, having Justin Beiber try and barfine you, go go bar girls in short skirts, go go bar girls in long skirts, go go bar with no skirts, malaria, dysentery, ebola fever,  Darth Vader, he  who we cannot name, he who we cannot name's snake, mystical reappearance of Bing Crosby, finding out that the girls in Abba were really ladyboys, nude hippo races .... these are only on Thursdays in bangkok by the way.. finding out that you really do need to pay attention to the seat belt demonstration on a flight, finding yourself  conscripted to building barns for the Amish, being mugged by Quakers...finding out that sex is dirty if your doing it right.

Please give us a term or reference so you might get some serious answers...otherwise some of us might just not take you too seriously and try and make fun.

Surely people are quite serious, in General...

A fella was walking across a field.  He shouts over to the farmer in the next field "Is this bull safe"
"He's a lot safer than you are right now, mate..."

The OP is 100% correct...........the sight of two young adults splattered across the road that I saw on Dec 30th will live with me forever.

We all forget how precious life is until we are confronted with death.

Meet that special Thai girl now

You should widen your experience and try to meet girls outside of brothels.

Do you mean the girls  directly outside brothels, inviting punters to come inside  ? :)

Wow.  You guys still at it over here.

Once you realize that:
No one in the anti-gun camp is going to change the mind of anyone in the pro-gun camp,
and
No one in the pro-gun camp is going to change the mind of anyone in the anti-gun camp,
...then Bob's your Uncle and it time to go home.

It really doesn't leave much to talk about unless you're the type of person who enjoys slamming your head against the wall multiple times for the sheer fun of it.

By the way, I had my answer about 7 pages back.  Everything else has been bemused entertainment, sort of like poking at a scorpion with a stick just to see how riled you can get it.  After the initial amusement wears off, it's time to do something else.  But I gotta admit, punching the buttons on the anti-gun crowd has kept us entertained for almost 2 weeks.  Posted Image  Think I'll put my cowboy hat on and go shoot some targets tomorrow.  Bye bye ya'll.
Why do you have to divide people into pro-gun and anti-gun groups? Isn't there any room for a middle ground....i.e. people like me (who I'm sure you are lumping in with what you call the "anti-gun crowd" out of laziness and perhaps an unwillingess to admit that there might be more than two sides to an argument) who are neither for nor against gun ownership?

For the same reason he thinks he is 'punching buttons' in a discussion . . . he seems a master debater.

Not on Thailand.  Here a condo is a special class of building where the individual rooms are owned by  different people.

I was invited once to invest in the bathroom of a Condo..... I declined the offer.

I'm amazed by all the well 'ard men on here . . . just shoot the bastards, cut 'em up and get rid of the body . . . then sit down for a full English or grits.

Well 'ard . . . the world's retired special forces all living in Thailand

#5150390 Does Anyone Know......

Oh rubbish!  A BTS user does not "deserve" to be beaten by staff just because he doesn't want to obey the rules.  The job of security is not to beat someone in public but to physically STOP them from boarding the train until the police arrive.  Do London underground staff beat up those insisting on carrying beer onto the trains?

The simple fact is that security don't know how to handle if when their authority is undermined.  No common sense.

#5142940 Thoughts On Falang Going A Little Overboard On The "Thai-Ness"?

I wear some Buddhist amulets but not all the time. I call them pra kreuang of course, because I'm so integrated. They were given to me by my gf and her father, I don't wear them because I'm a Buddhist. Maybe that's stupid, I don't really care. I wear them underneath my shirts, never over them. I got a smile from the metal detector guy when going through customs at Bombay airport when I had to show him what was setting his machine off, which was something of an achievement as most of them looked miserable as sin.

I think many people place too much importance on cultural differences though. When you make close friends, it doesn't really matter. It's not something I think about too much. Of course I will never be Thai, I don't look Thai for a start.

I have to admit that I do look down on some Westerners living in Thailand though, i.e.. those who wear polyester vest tops, shorts and plastic flip flops when they go to the mall. That's basically because they look like chavs to me though, not because they are not trying hard enough to be Thai.

Re. the OP, English speaking foreigners who speak to me in Thai really get on my tits.

good thai persons dont dress like that anyway ,i rememeber once walking with my ex gf , (a school headmistress ) in a poorish  area of inner city bkk on a stifling hot day

there were a few  guys who had their t-shirts off (the heat was sweltering ),some working  and others just  hanging around in the area ,drinking beer ,playing chess like old men do

she went into some shop  and i took my t-shirt off and sat down on a wall and lay back just chilling

she came out of the shop ,looked at me ,and said WHAT ARE YOU DOING ? THATS NOT POLITE ,THIS IS NOT THE BEACH !

i thought she was joking but apparentlly doing things like that shows your place on the social ladder  and you get treated accordingly

if farangs want to dress like that ,i say let them ,it makes a properly  dressed farang look like he should be respected more han his vest and shorts wearing fellow countrymen :)
