Just curious if others on TV CM are receiving unsolicited e-mail today, or recently, about a "Rapid Language Learning" course, to be held in Chiang Mai, in June, said e-mail originating from http://www.genggwaa....ml/profile.html ?

What I am interested in, of course, is how this person got my real (jealously guarded) e-mail address. And, if I know many others here on TV CM are receiving this same message, perhaps that will be a clue.

Thanks for your time, and I hope you are not getting the messsage, but if you aren't, and you really want to know where you can go to spend 750 baht per hour to be in a class where you learn to associate the Thai letter-shape for the sound "aah" with the arc of urine made by a man taking-the-piss, and the Thai letter-shape for the sound "t" with the shape of a turtle ... by all means use the link above.

Since I know many of you here in CM are avid users of Adobe CS Tools, PhotoShop, etc., I thought I'd post this here first, so you'll see it, with the expectation that the Mods will probably move it to another forum related to computers and software in general. Mea culpa !

"The global Creative Suite 6 Launch Event will be webcast live today, Monday, April 23rd, at 10am PT / 1pm ET and 5pm GMT – and will be shown there as a continuous rebroadcast from 11am – 4pm PT. An on-demand version will be available at Adobe TV beginning Tuesday, April 24th."

also from that same newsletter this interesting comment:

"One very big change just announced now is that all CS6 upgrades are only available direct from Adobe… CS6 upgrades will not be offered from third parties like resellers or retailers."

So, at midnight tonight our time, you'll be able to see the official hoop-la, and assuming I interpret the above content correctly, will be able to watch repeat shows. And view, on demand, at some unspecified time beginning April 24th. sometime USA time.

Of course, YouTube is already full of previews of many of the interesting new features, such as context-aware scale, context-aware move, etc. imho, a good starting point: Adobe Sr. Creative Director, Russell Brown's, video on his six favorite features of PhotoShop CS6:

Moon-rise will be 5:48PM; on this date the Moon Goddess will dance for us in all her sublime luminescence: only 357,160 kilometers away from Earth.

I have begged my Orang mind/soul that cohabitates with me to send me, via dream, a vision of a special event for this sacred time, but, so far: nada.

I even looked into my own soul/mind for inspiration, but all I could come up with was a bonfire, circles of naked dancers, and a human sacrifice, and human sacrifice is so common here on the highways that I think using that as the epiphany of the ritual would be jejeune, trite. While Bangkok already has the naked dancing thing uncovered to the point where it's the barest of flimsy cliches. Bonfire we got enough every day, already.

Clearly, we need to draw upon all our collective consciousnesses to devise an event, and a location, to join together at this time, peacefully, joyously, to celebrate this harbinger of the mango rains.

So, what say you ?  Ideas ?
