Moved to Thailand mid 2007, renting an apartment outside Kata first of all. Eventually decided to buy my own place early 2008, and since then have been through the Thai system for many things, including getting married, having property, cars, boats, driving licence, boat licence etc etc etc. Absolutely no expert, but have a certain amount of knowledge and experience now. Happily married, live in Chalong, have 2 Golden Retrievers plus 2 other dogs, like good food and chilling out with like minded people. Favourite places in Phuket are Ao Yon and the Kathu reservoir area.
Main hobbies, photography, cycling, fitness, sometimes canoeing, getting out on my boat (if the weather's kind enough!), and cooking. Ex Royal Marine, and spent many years in the oil industry in various countries.
