The hotel made the contract with the tour company, not the guests. As individuals these tourists have nothing to do with any contractual obligation to the hotel. they gave their belongings to the staff to put in boxes for safe keping, not as a security deposit. Holding onto these belongings against their will is nothing more than common thievery, and most likely completely illegal.

whether or not these Russions are rude etc is off topic,, but it is sure entertaining observing their attire,,,

Looking for a capable sunglasses repair venue in Pattaya. anybody know of a good shop? I have walked into several of the big name stores with no luck. I have somewhat specialized glasses (gatorz aluminum) and need the hinge replaced, so it would involve some tiny and precise drilling. It wouldn't be worth sending them back to the manufacturer.

Hey!! been looking for this thread for weeks now! ( But used the search word "hockey" go figure).

Anyways is there any bar where folks will go to watch game 7 Thursday morning? I might be up in Pattaya Wednesday night, and stay to watch the game in the morning. It would be great if there were a few others watching. Otherwise names of more hotels with ASN is a help, but a bar would be better.

Agreed on all counts. There are some very talented musicians out there, and several opportunities to jam, but there is often little space on the stage until one is well-known or a superstar, and it usually ends up being blues or rock standards.
