Just as a follow up...I was specifically looking for an 'T' Reveal and finally stumbled across a place that sells them...albeit in plastic (Beggars cannot be choosers).

You have to buy 100 pieces but at 48 baht each for the FP-12 its not too bad. (If anybody needs a few I think I might be able to spare some!)

Mig welders are not very popular here (as you've noticed!). So finding a decent entry level model is going to be pretty difficult I think, there just isn't much of a market for them. Supplies will be subsequently sparse as well. I might suggest that you get a Tig welder, you'll be able to do the thin delicate stuff and can also use it as a stick welder for the big and nasty. Welpro has a wide range of readily available models and appears to be a pretty respectable company. Also someone referred me to this company that sells some western brands... http://www.diamondinter.com (likely at a premium though).

I think you could make a simple double enclosure based on the same principles that are used to sound proof a gas powered generator. There are tons of plans/pictures online if you approach your problem from that direction, obviously a generator is much louder and runs hotter so the same concepts should be more than sufficient.

Haco do make RCD protected outlets, but I've never seen them on sale.
You could go to their office on Ngam Wong Wan (paste these GPS Coordinates into google maps: 13.860323, 100.528711) and buy directly from them. Of course would be advisable to call and make sure they have it in stock.

You're in luck AleG...At the Architect's Show (at Impact Muang Thong Thani through the weekend) I came across a booth selling EPS that is locally produced. The name of the company is "Cheer System International". This appears to be their website, http://www.cheersystem.com/index_.html...not too great. But their booth was pretty well setup and the flyer was decent.
