Changing Babys Surname To That Of The Fathers

2012-03-04 18:35:13

Hi,
I want to apply for a birth certificate and passport from the UK embasy for my child who was born in Thailand after 2006. I have read a few topics concerning the procedure for application and feel pretty confident with this process. However, my childs surname is that of the mothers and i would like to change it to mine so there is no complications for when he is sent to school in the UK.
  My question is:
  • Can this be done?
  • What is the process for changing a childs surname to that of the fathers?
  • Will this have any implications when applying for the UK birth cert and passport?
All help would be much appreciated

How Worn Is Worn?

2011-03-05 22:34:02

Hi all,
I have got a little 110 scooter which i have had since brand new (9 months). The rear tyre has worn down on the centre line only but the sides still have a reasonable amount of tread left. I know that if a car tyre wares down in the centre, this indicates overinflation and if just the outer edges ware down then this indicates under-inflation - is this the same for motorbikes? I spoke to, who i assume to be an experienced rider and he said that the tyre needs replacing. Is he right?
So i goes to the motorbike garage to replace the tyre and the guy there say's that i don't need to replace it until the tyre has worn on the edges too? (quite generous of him considering it was potential money to him), Is he right?

Cheers

Cheap Guest House By Ekami Bus Station

2011-02-08 10:32:56

Hi there, i will be arriving in Ekami bus station at 1:30 am and dont want to spend my usual 1000 per night for guest house just to literally sleep on the first night. So could anybody recomend a cheap guest house that is suitable to take my child and missus that is less than 500 and close to the bus station. We have used one place for 350 before on soi 22 or 24 but this was without the child and would not be suitable with him as it is a short stay freequented mainly by the local working ladys. Any recomendations appreciated. Steps
