I remember the days I used to ride my Honda VFR400RR back home and couldn't wait to get off it because I was frozen to the core even on sunny days 555.

I didn't ride like this though as I was only 18 many many moons ago. hehe:

that's some of the sic'est video I've ever seen, as well as the most skillful and courageous riders imaginable. seriously, if those guys lose it, they'll be reduced to throbbing gristle and they know it. still they pin it. that is open-eyed, face-to-face with, and flipping off & laughing at the reaper.

I see that they have made some improvements to fence at Sulby Glenn hotel. When I was there in 2007 it was a hemp rope. Here is a photo (one of many) I took of the bikes coming real close. 190+ mph. Sulby Glen is the fasted part of the circuit.

In the last hour, shamed and encourged by your DIY advice, I've worked out how to open the liner... a hidden zipper... and replaced a self tapping screw that had fallen out.
It still worries me though, I believe that once a screw has fallen out it will continue to do so.
Maybe a slightly larger screw.... ?

Or some Loctite?
superglue, epoxy or fingernail polish in a pinch

I'm a big fan of epoxy's & metal set compounds. I did some 2 minute epoxy repairs on my Ducati inlet grills mounting points and they came out like new and solid. You would also be amazed how good bear brand glue is, when used correctly. ;)

It's a "not for hand luggage" item.

If you were in Chiang Mai, I could point you to a business who repaired my suitcase (Samsonite). For Chiang Rai, can I suggest you  try a shoe repair place. They normally have the heavy duty type rivetting tools and other wares. Just a thought, though it may be a case of hit & miss finding a shop that might be able to help.

Cats & Dogs / buckets is a good picture of the rainfall today from what my wife tells me. :)

Just to add, being a consumer I'm not a fan of Starbucks at Central. I've been to more than my fair share of stores in some pats of the world and the baristas (sic!) here need to go back to school.  Their coffee blend making skills are rubbish or the coffee is low quality or both. Some of the best I've had is Starbucks on the Corniche in Muscat, Oman.

Need a 12V 18Amp or 20Amp battery for my Yamaha 1600 Road Star!

I'm talking about a kick-ass, dependable, top-of-the-line battery, not the usual undependable battery brands that run their course in six months. Looking for a good source where they keep some products in stock, and I don't have to wait for weeks.

A plus would be if they are customer-service oriented. Man, that's so hard to find here.

Any help is appreciated.

Just curious why you require such a high amperage. Are you running extra accessories, higher compression etc? The 1700 uses a 14A gel cell,
