#5335465 12V 18Amp Or 20Amp Battery Wanted

Just curious why you require such a high amperage. Are you running extra accessories, higher compression etc? The 1700 uses a 14A gel cell,

The bike had starting issues when I bought it used. There was a 14 amp battery in there initially, and it just wasn't getting it done.  I added a Thunderfire Starter, MaxAir flame wires and either 18amp or 20amp battery. Starting issues are gone.

I wish I could find a gel battery in Thailand.

Need a 12V 18Amp or 20Amp battery for my Yamaha 1600 Road Star!

I'm talking about a kick-ass, dependable, top-of-the-line battery, not the usual undependable battery brands that run their course in six months.  Looking for a good source where they keep some products in stock, and I don't have to wait for weeks.

A plus would be if they are customer-service oriented. Man, that's so hard to find here.

Any help is appreciated.

I think some guy called John Mcguiness might want his name thrown in there aswell!!

Michael Dunlop looks very strong, although I kinda hope Guy Martin does get his first win at the TT..

Does anyone know if UBC will have live coverage??

#5324646 Spend A Night Into A Tribe? Teach Them English?

Posted kerryk on 2012-05-23 13:19:55

This thread is too good to be lost in this scarcely read local forum. It has everything. Drugs, Americans, opium and the European great white hope poster and potential missionary.

The journalist who can't spell or write critiquing the European great white poster who can't write either and both I'm sure violating ten rules about posting.

And the realist curmudgeon talking about drunk screaming hill tribe people and last but not least location of hill tribe bar girls who will shake down all and sundry Farang as a daily ritual. The only thing lacking is photos of fish.

Don't you think this should be moved to the General Forum?  Anyway it was a great read!

"Hi. Me and my wife would like to go in a tribe near chiang rai. We would lile to exchange with them... Maybe teach them a little bit of english... We would, if possible, avoid touristics visits of tribes... It seems to be like Disneyland tours... Thank you really much for your advices in order to visit authentic tribes.

Same for monks btw. We d like to exchange with them. "

I'm weak in the type of way that I can't resist picking on this type of post, but if you want to teach anybody English, perhaps you should brush up on it.

I work part-time in journalism and it makes my skin crawl when people proclaim themselves to be English teachers but don't know that 'me' is not a subject pronoun, or use a word like 'touristics'. Does the word even exist? But more importantly it's serving as an adjective, and adjectives can never be plural. 'Advice' is a non-countable noun, but the OP has added an 's' to it. Finally, 'exchange' requires a direct object, but the OP hasn't bothered to include one.

I really don't feel I'm being pedantic here because in the OP's short post, he has made 4 basic mistakes as well as displaying some questionable style, yet he feels qualified to teach English. Cripes, it's no wonder that English teaches get such a bad reputation in Thailand.

If you still have the spare remote key you can get it replaced very cheaply at many locksmiths.  If you have lost this you have to change the unit.

I think some users may inadvertently drag the placemarks when clicking them in edit mode. Very easy to do if you aren't zoomed in. I've corrected a few that I originally added in the correct spot! I just added a little Bike Paint shop in Bangkok who will do 'factory look' or custom paint.

#5298667 1000Cc + Supersport Bikes In Thailand

Posted Richard-BKK on 2012-05-14 07:25:55

Don't buy so-called invoice second hand motorcycles, what are imported motorcycles which have all the correct import papers, taxes and duties paid but didn't register the motorcycle in Thailand (greenbook and license plate). The thing is with the current ban on imported motorcycles you cannot register a imported motorcycle, even it was imported 2-years ago.
