What Timeframe For Retirement Extension On Multiple O.

I'm applying for a retirement extension on my mutlple non-o which expires 21/05/2011. I have all documents prepared.

I need to go to the Australian Embassy from Pattaya for Income Verification.

Is there a set period for application. i.e 30 days before Visa expires


I have to go to BKK on the 27/04 -  30/04. should I go to Bkk on the 19th returning before 21st? not really wanting to do 2 trips.
