If you need roof repairs and live in the south of the island try Prasid 0884422804
He has just finished a job for us, he did not quote as he had to take parts of the
roof to check what was needed
3 men for 2 days supplied all the required materials and charged 5600 baht, very
reasonable as far as i am concerned, he does not speak English but does not rip
you off, my wife sorted out all the business with him

Phuket To Langkawi
2012-05-08 07:59:23
There was a recent thread about traveling to Langkawi from Phuket by ferry
which takes 12 hours,Now the monsoon season is here i think by road would
be better
Checking the road map Phuket to Satun in Thailand is about 400KLM and a
ferry leaves from there to Langkawi, the ferry symbol on the map is the
same as the Ko Samui ferry symbol which are car ferries,Does anyone know
if it is a car ferry or just passengers and how regularly it runs

Spell Check
2012-04-25 14:12:46
Spell Check does not work on Thaivisa forums for me but works perfectly on other Web sites
Is there a reason for this
With your forums if i try to check the spelling the message disappears and comes back when i stop checking

Monthly Cost Of Living In Phuket
2012-04-24 11:51:30
Some people claim it costs the 90 to 100K a month to live here which i think
is way over the top for everyday living expenses
Every day living expenses are as far as i am concerned are food and drinks minor items for the house
fuel and maintanance for vehicles, utilities water, electricity, phone, Internet etc clothes, insurance policys
and eating out at restaurants
I do not include one of purchases like a car, motorbike, plasma TV or holidays and overseas flights
We own our own home so do not pay rent we spend approx 30K a month and live well on this amount of money
and have what we want
It would be interesting to know what other people genuinely spend each month
not posting rediculous amounts to impress people
Spell check is not working so if i have miss spelt anything bad luck

Butter Nut Pumpkins And Rockmelons/Cantelopes
2012-04-23 09:11:41
We live in Phuket and i am trying to grow butternut pumpkins and rock melons
I have grown the plants and the are flowering but we get no fruit, i
think its the dew and rain washing the pollen away, has anyone grown
them successfully this time of year or do you have to wait to the end
of the wet season
