Of course PTP and friends don't like to call throwing grenades around an act of terrorism. Cuts too close to the bone.

We haven't heard from Pheu Thai party list MP's and UDD leaders k. Nattawut and k. Jatuporn yet, did we? I mean this minor symbolic act is clearly a copyright infringement

Obviously we don't live in a perfect world, otherwise drugs that destory people's lives would not be a problem.

Because we don't live in a perfect world, it's completely reasonable and backed up by overturned verdicts all the time, that the justice system is not perfect.  Far from it.  So it stands to reason that it's quite likely innocent people would die because of this policy.  It would set Thailand back in terms of human rights and progression of society, not move it forward.

Amazing how many people are so quick to be judge jury and executioner without a second thought.

and this came from Thaksin i take it !

you cant convict a man/women of a crime with a half hearted investigation and then kill them within 60 days, how many innocent people set up will lose thier lives?

If a person is found with vast amounts of Yabba/Ice in their possession then why not a speedy execution ?

- Ever heard of the right to equal application of the law, to all citizens?

- Do you remember the thousands of times the pt / udd / reds /red leaders repeated their warcry during the riots last year and in the run up to the last elections:  quality democracy and equal application of the law for all Thais?

- Ever heard of police planting drugs on people?

- Ever heard that during the paymasters war on drugs and before, and since, not one drug lord, not one drug king pin. not one politician, not one senior policeman, not one senior military man has ever been charged with drug related offences let alone been convicted, let alone served time in jail, let alone been executed?

To bad that same law does not apply to cop killers. Must be nice to take the high moral ground while being balls deep in s**t.

Planted? , false confession? , stiching up someone else? ......

the answer is not to kill the mules/small dealers, but to go to the top level !, as all that will happen is someone will take thier place !

During the bomber's recovery, investigations revealed that he had been in Thailand for some 200 days, & had failed to submit any 90-day reports. He will be fined an appropriate amount & will be subjected to thorough questioning as to why he had avoided this important procedure. All other charges have been dropped on the grounds that they are of little consequence.

"It is quite possible" said an immigration official "that had he completed those 2 missing 90-day reports, that the tragic event that led to the loss of his legs might never have occurred!"

Where are those dumb a*ses from the Thai government saying that Thailand is safe and clear from terrorist acts?

+1 for the USA Embassy and other countries on this one, if they stood their ground.

Those in the Thai gov who said it was clear should be brought up on charges.

You can kiss your tourism good bye Thailand.

Will they march on the iran embassy NOW?

Tourism agencies eye march on embassy over US terror warning

All the ThaiVisa anti-US critics, tourism agency protesters, and Thai government officials who complained to the  US because of their warning--- can now get in line for their Statements of Apology.

TV posters can start here, if you'd like...Posted Image

So, the next time a soverign Western nation issues a travel warning for Thailand, I will expect all those who ridiculed such warnings before to shut up.

And I will expect all those greedy travel and tourism muppets that wanted to march on the US embassy to apologize.

Pathetic.

My best wishes for a speedy recovery to those were injured.

Buy the time the politicians and media get through with this, no mention of "terrorist" will be found.  Simply a man of "Middle Eastern appearance" was annoyed at being refused a taxi, so he decided to lob a couple of grenades.  That's understandable, as everyone knows grenades are a "standard necessity" for all tourists.  This will be twisted and turned so many ways that the actual truth will probably never be known.  But the sure things you can count on is Chalerm reassuring that there is no possible threat of terrorists or terrorism in Thailand, thanks to the excellent security forces here and, this incident will in no way affect tourism.  In fact, numbers will be up, I guarantee it, according to TAT.

The TIMING relates to the recent Thailand terror threat (also Azerbaijan), fertilizer warehouse arrest, Hezbollah-Iran bombings in India and Georgia, but the TARGET makes no sense. Jury still out.

By timing, I mean the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Hezbollah's deputy leader, Imad Mughniyah.

Friendly suggestion to Thai officials: please stop trying to meddle with US embassy warnings and worry more about terrorism than tourism profits.
