#5339450 US Embassy Bangkok Complained Over Lady Gaga's Fake Rolex Tweet

Posted straycat911 on 2012-05-28 17:46:04

They are still complaining about this, why does Thailand think the world visit this country for, Of course for the cheap fake products, the world already knows about the fake products, but as other postes already said "The government does nothing about it" so why do they care, they say it hurts the countries image, sure it does, but it dont seem to get them off their butt to do anything about it, Gosh, I mean look she said things about china, and japan and their just go along with it, cause they know its true as the world alreadfy knows it too, why does Thailand have to be so hard assed about it

#5339910 British Furniture Shop Owner Caught With Large Quantity Of Drugs In North Pat...

Quote

The Colonel claims that Mr. Hall is a well-known suspected drug dealer who would sell primarily to foreign customers.

This case will now be added to the two further cases which are outstanding and for now Mr. Hall will be held on remand pending a Court appearance.

I am not a detective , nor defending anyone, but i smell a rat for some reason.

Seems its only Colonel who is making claims with no evidence at all.

The other 2 cases????

If i dare to speculate, i would guess someone did not pay off  or pay enough and something else is going on

Definite yes. Even Thais who do not drink look good when the Johny Walker BL comes out.

Or...... T-shirts, caps and anything else from your own country with a proper logo - genuine and good quality of course.Cannot be bought here - stands out.

#4948084 Jomtien Bht Bus Rudeness

Posted ga3443 on 2012-01-01 18:15:07

i live in jomtien so regularly get the bus from pattaya dai to jomtien ,i am sick and tired of listening to the thais that organise the que being rude to farangs ,most farangs as we no are bigger in body than thais and therefore take up more room ,i have persanally witnessed " large " farangs being told to leave the bus because they take up 2 much room ,the poor russian guy was so bewildered ,he had no idea what was going on ,i can speak thai (im english ) fairly well so i got into a heated arguement with the aggresive thai lady and was told farangs take up 2 much room ,off course the thing they cant compute is that probably 70% or more of there customers are farang ,without the farang i suspect they would be struggling but off course this fact is  forgotten if someone takes up a little more than one seat ..........

even if u r a fairly normal size u get pushed/poked and shouted at to move /move/move to create more space ,off couse i fully realise that the more bodies the more money but this is supposed to b the land of smiles,.which of course we all know it isnt ,i really wish pattaya had meter taxis ,i lived in bkok for 2 years and rarely had any problems with taxis ,ok its 35 bht starting price but u go a long way for 70/80 bht ,more importantly the drivers are generally polite ,u r on yr own so no -one trying to steal yr money (which also nearly happened to me last week),u have air con ,no pollution and guess what u actually arrive at the place u want to go ...............i have also lost count of the ammount of times i have been on the bus ,suddenly a few customers get on and the bus just takes off in a totally different direction because they have booked it privately ............also on the jomtien route ive had the bus stop half way along jomtien and tell me to get out because im the only customer and they dont want to go any further !!!

ive been pattaya 4 years now and  i think its fair to say that i hate the bus system

1. People that spell Bhat (as in Thai Bhat) as "Bath". They remind me of the kind of people from the UK that say "five pound" instead of "five pounds". Both of these types of people have idiot eyes.

Do you mean baht?  Posted Image

I cringe when I hear many farangs, especially those farangs who are in business here or are on the radio/television promoting various businesses, mispronounce local Thai place names. These people should really know better.

It's common place to hear them pronouncing Patta-ya as Pat-eye-yah or Par-tay yah! They pronounce Ra-yong as Ray-yong and Jom-tien as Jon-tiem.

As I have said, they really should know better.

My dislike is the assumption from the UK that if you live here it must only be for sex.
I hate that nudge nudge wink wink attitude I have even seen portrayed on national TV in the UK.
It is good for sex but there are also many other plusses to Thailand.
My ex wife will not let my son come here on holiday because of it's reputation here.
I have been in a steady healthy relationship with a Thai lady for three years.
There is plenty of prostitution in West London where my ex wife lives - you can check the small ads in the local paper.
I hate that holier than thou attitude.

It gets to me when you order stuff online and they won't ship certain products to Thailand, not talking anything special either.

After spending only a year in Bangkoks finnest, I decieded not to transfer back to  USA when I had the oppertunity

Thai prisons are a much better alternative, no rapes, little violence and you need not be a "skinHead" "Black" "Hells Angle" or "Hispanic" to survive... to me there was no question, Thai prison is a far safer place,

why do inmates have access to internet when other , I didn't say normal, people have to pay for it?

Yes, definitely bag it up and return it to the business.  Perhaps say something like they may not realize what their employees are doing with the trash.  Give the management the benefit of the doubt to help them save face.  That's what we did the first time we encountered a similar situation here.  We figured the second time, we'd just throw the trash back over the wall and the third time we'd go and toss it into their business in front of customers.  It never got beyond Step #1.  The problem was solved at Step #1 and we still wai-ed and smiled to each other after that.
and this is exactly why God put the fairer sex on this earth..tact and diplomacy (and a few other advantageous traits)
