(I found the other thread entitiled something like "Older man younger woman, what goes through your mind" but it was closed)
I was in 7/11 tonight with my dad.
He is a big old farang and my mom happens to be Thai. I do not look anything like my dad (or my mom).
We are waiting for the toasted ham and cheese sandwiches to cook.
a young Thai guy points back and forth between me and my dad. "True love, " he smiles and says.
"Khun pa," I say.
He laughs. "Thailand," he says, shaking his head. "True love," he repeats.
I tell him again that my dad is really my dad, that my mom is Thai ( I could maybe pass for Thai, I look mixed though, and many people think I am European- Italian, French, or Slovenian, whatever. i have heard it all.)
He shakes his head. Some other young guys, maybe his friends, are watching and listening. One makes a comment in Thai, I couldn't understand it all, but he shook his head and laughed and said "Khun pa!"
Whatever.
When my dad and I have been at Paragon, quite a few foreigners will look at us and look me in the eye and shake their heads like something is wrong with me. My dad and I find it humorous.
I just thought I'd share. But even in America, when I would go out, sometimes I would see friends and they would tell me that a weird old man was watching me and following me and I'd say "where?" and it would be my dad.
maybe the situation is not always what it looks like

I didn't know there was a Whole Foods here!!!
This is good information.
But from what I have read on this thread, it seems that they would not have the Whole Foods brand vitamins. I have been having them sent from the USA.
Maybe I will check the place out when I get low on vitamins.
