Uk To Thailand With Infant Under 2 Year Old

2011-09-19 19:12:18

Am looking at flying to Thailand soon to take the little on to see her mothers side of the family, Though looking through the flight booking websites it seem that even with our baby in our laps the price of her ticket will be about the same as a adults ticket ? or about 100 pounds cheaper

I thought if flying with child, in lap the price for her ticket was much cheaper than that of a full adult,  We always fly direct so is this the norm ? or would it be best to book 2 adults that call the airline and book our child's flight.

Esol With Citizenship

2011-06-22 12:56:57

Looking for some help in locating one of these courses, The only ones with citizen content seem to be in London.

We are based in Swindon, my wife is 9 months into her settlement visa now and we have a 7 month old little girl.
so really she would only be able to do part time. When i am not working.

Looking like her only chance would be then the KNOL with a lot of practice, if carnt find a ESOL course local.

Also dose anyone have a tick/check list for requirements for ILR would be handy.

Flying Thailand With 1 Year Old

2011-06-20 17:07:22

Looking at flying to Thailand from London sometime in Sept, to take our 1 year old to see her nan

She will be almost 1 when we fly,  Do I need to book at ticket for her when we fly ?

I was under the impression that under 2 and she can sit in our lap so wouldn't need a ticket.

But going through the ticket websites etc ebookers it seems she needs a full ticket ?

Any help please.

Nhs Treatment While Pregnant

2010-10-25 18:16:27

My wife has now been back in the UK for almost 8 weeks now on a settlement visa, after a long and drawn out appeal process.
She is currently 37 weeks pregnant and is due anytime soon. The other day she received a letter from the hospital with relation to NHS treatment.
She is already registered with a doctor etc.

On reading this letter it looks like she is not entitled to free NHS treatment as has not resided in the UK for at least 12 months ?
Is this a expense that we will have to cover now ?

I have enclosed a copy of the letter that we have received.

All advice appreciated.
