Yup, I got one, but I had to check my spam filter to find it.  But, my email address is all over the place in Chiang Mai, so I'm not going to do any finger-pointing.  You just need to get a better spam filter.  Mine recognizes something as spam after I've blow away mail from a sender a few times without opening it.

Don't know what my spam filter is -- the IT dept (Hubby) set it up and keeps changing and tinkering with security stuff on our computers.  Hubby goes to the regular meetings of the Computer Club, 1 pm on Tuesdays (they have a website) to keep up on stuff like this.

Yes, definitely bag it up and return it to the business.  Perhaps say something like they may not realize what their employees are doing with the trash.  Give the management the benefit of the doubt to help them save face.  That's what we did the first time we encountered a similar situation here.  We figured the second time, we'd just throw the trash back over the wall and the third time we'd go and toss it into their business in front of customers.  It never got beyond Step #1.  The problem was solved at Step #1 and we still wai-ed and smiled to each other after that.

Oh come one, surely I'm not the only one who has bought pre-cooked rice sometimes.  Let's see, we bought it when we first came here and lived in a serviced apartment without kitchen facilities.  They have wonderful pre-cooked meals-to-go at Tanin Market and, of course, you need rice to go with them.

Even now, with a fully equiped kitched, sometimes Hubby is send out on a mission just before he thinks he's getting a home-cooked dinner when I discovered the rice cooker has been in the "warm" setting and not the "cook" setting for the past hour!

He will be okay with leaving on the 1st of Aug. They don't pay any attention at the Airport to the 90 day reports. When he returns he will start a new 90 period starting on the date he enters.

I was helping a friend board a Korean Air flight out of CM and yes, an airline employee did double check and question the status of his 90 day report.  It was due on the same day that he was departing.  As I pointed out to them, provided their flight left on time, he would still be A-OK.

(Frankly I think they were looking for an excuse not to board him, since his physical condition was somewhat shaky.  We had a doctor's letter that it was OK for him to travel.  He made the flight just fine -- no problems.)

There have been reports of some Immigration offices allowing extensions up to 60 days in advance, especially if you can demonstrate (via an airline ticket) that you will be out of the country during the normal 30-day window for your extension processing.

I think the office in Pattaya will permit people to process extensions due to retirement up to 60 days in advance as a matter of course -- without requiring proof that you'll be gone.  Don't know for sure -- someone from Pattaya should be along shortly to correct/clarify.
