Has any one experienced this? A divorce based on abandonment. Couple married in Thailand. Does anyone know the procedure?

Our problem is my girlfriend is still legally married but has not seen or heard from her husband (English) in over six years.

To my knowledge she can get a divorce based on abandonement (if she has not seen or heard from him in over three years)

My question is what would the ampur look for in terms of proof that this is the case, Would the office just accept her claim and process the document or would they need to try and find the husband.

Is a divorce possible if only one party is present?

We would rather not use a lawyer if possible. Big fees for doing diddly squat in my experience.

Has anyone obtained a divorce this way or have any info?

Some advice please. Last time I travelled from samui to Bangkok I used a VIP bus service. I booked it Nathon. The bus had big seats, televisions and games consoles on the back of the seats. A really good trip. I want to travel down to Samui on the same type bus, but haven't a clue how to book. I can of course just turn up at the southern bus terminal - but with a family of five I'd like to get it sorted first.

Does anyone know the NAME of the company that runs this service and if they have an office in Bangkok. Thanks.

I'm looking for a photographer to take shots of an author of Bangkok  fiction books, the pictures to be published mostly electronically on book covers and websites. We're looking fo a Farang or Thai photographer. We have a small budget and are thinking about a few hours shooting around the Sukhumvit area one evening. Would be a good gig for an amatuer or semi-pro looking to build up a portfollio as the pictures will be published, paid for, and fully credited.

Any advice on who to approach would be appreciated.

I had a non-o visa issued in Vientenne. My entry stamp stated 16th August. Visited immigration today who informed me I need to apply for an extension and that I have seven days to do so.

I don't quite understand if I am officially overstaying or if there is a seven day period either side to apply. Like there is with a notification of address.
