I'll go again, enjoyed the last time. There were name tags at the Old Bell affair, not sure if they were required attire, but not enforced for sure. I prefer, as one of the reasons I moved here is not to be told what to do all the time, is to let those who want wear them and those who don't don't. It's suppose to be social and enjoyable, I vote on making that the priority.

Just a small note about the anonymity thing.
I've been to every TV party in CM since the first, and honestly I don't recall one harsh word or a confrontation between members, with everyone wearing nametags.
Often we all (and I include myself) can get hot under the collar online.
At the parties, everyone seems to get along quite well.
When one encounters someone you have had "words" with, it is no more than a raised eyebrow, and "Oh, so you are Mr. So-and-so".
It's amazing how one's concept of an online persona can be so wrong in real life.
Met more than a few fascinating people over the years, and look forward to the next party.
Let bygones be bygones- attend and enjoy!

My pesonal experience of these so called 'bikers' from Norway, Denmark etc are that they are total numbnuts...most have never ridden a bike in their home country and are largely pensioned off sailors or the like...they come here, the girls make them feel special then they get a few tattoos and a bike and think they are a gansta.....pussies the lot of them

This is (very mild and harmless) racism against Thais (not against non-Thais); this business is simply trying to implement price discrimination (a perfectly reasonable policy).
However, they are making a strange and (very slightly racist) assumption that Thai people will only pay a lower price, due (solely) to their nationality.
If anyone thinks a (profit maximising) business offers discounts to a certain group because they prefer that group they need to read some high-school economics textbooks.
If I was Thai I would (very slightly) offended to receive such an SMS; as a non-Thai I cannot see any issue

Or maybe the BIB are just smart, issue the police report so people can claim their insurance with the least amount of fuss...
Investigating crime takes the BIB away from the real reason they are BIB....daily contributions to the policeman tea fund, lets face it the cost of lao khao is going up and they have to pay for their Mia Noi's some how....investigating crimes like this does not generate revenue..
I am sure if you offered Thailand finest a little financial incentive to find the culprits, they would have them in handcuffs within 24 hours, or let me rephase that..they would have someone in handcuffs who said they did it at least..signed confession and all....receive their financial incentive...you feel justice is done, and BiB can pay for their Mai Noi for another week...everyone happy

This is funny...
So yesterday I spent a good few hours with the wife and the first pisshead gardener cutting the grass and catching snakes etc.
Today all that remains to be done is to either burn or remove the grass/debris/snake traps.
anotehr gardener just rocked up - fair play he looks sober which is a bonus.
He insepcted the garden and announced he could do a great job - 600 baht once per month should do it.
I thought hmmmm ok why not - starting next month.
But he then tells us as a special bonus he will remove the grass today as a special favour.
I thought..wow a real gent....
But he will charge us a thousand baht for the process.
Even though that part of the job would be included in the 600 baht next month.
I was stunned when my wife asked me what I thought.....
Of course I said no - and the guy now has it in his head that the farang said no - not the Thai lady...lmao
