Not much worse than the bar that was build by a resort on the beach area. Try walking by in the monsoon season at high tide, but watch for their deckchairs.
I went the 44 yesterday on the way from Phipun to Phuket. About 20 kms from the end, the road is closed and you have to change to the opposite track. So - if you go up to Bangkok - be aware of oncoming traffic in that area. The signs are not very helpful... Have a safe trip!
Phipun, Nakhon Sri Thammarat. Been there yesterday, if you like nature it's the right place. Be aware to stroll around the area in a roughly 60 km range.
What about an option to set a reasonable font size? Some of the users of Thaivisa - and I do not exclude myself - got some problems with reading small fonts :-( See attached screenshot from my Galaxy Tab 7.7 ....
