Do they also sell golf clubs there? I want a full set but as a novice I dont want to pay too much money for them.
Save a lot of money and buy a used set first. A lot of good conditioned used clubs get sold every day here. You'll pay half for what you'll pay new.

OK. Apologies off the bat. Not looking for golf clubs, but I AM looking for a golf umbrella. These little dinky ones they sell just don't cut 2 people walking underneath them. Is a golf shop the only place to get one? The ones I've seen have been for over 1,000 baht too! Anyone know of another place or of a place to get one for a reasonable price?

THX Mucho!

Different schools are different.  College can mean many things.  Class size and gender?  City?  Formal job with work permit or pick up job on the sly?  Vocational school or University.  Big name school?  How much Thai do you speak?  Are the teachers allowed to speak Thai?  How many native speakers and from what countries?
About 25 students per 3 hours class (1 class each day for me). Mixed gender. Chiang Mai. Formal job w/work permit and salary. University. Fairly big name school. Cannot speak Thai. No or very little native English speakers, most are from other Asian countries.

Another benefit to having a TDL is that it has your passport number on it. I have a student ID w/my passport number on it and it has saved me having to drive back to my house numerous times. It is about to expire but now have government issues DL w/passport number on it. Most places will accept it in lieu of a passport (unless of course they need to see you stamps or something (e.g. immigration).

Also, I saw a friend of mine have his passport info page copied and then his signature page copied and shrunk down to wallet size. They then put the two copies back to back and had it laminated. It fit perfectly in his wallet. So in essence, he had a copy of his passport (sans stamps) that he could keep in his wallet. I'm going to do that, very smart.

My gf and I found a cheap pair of scissors and a comb with razors between the teeth (never seen anything like it), and she now cuts my hair. I keep it short anyway bcuz of using helmet so I can never gel or style my hair, so short is the only way to go. She enjoys doing it and I like to make fun of her while she's doing it (and I save 70 or 80THB) per haircut for the same results! She's gotten really good at it. Of course, I then have to buy her KFC or Pizza Co., but, it's still worth it!

Funny though, she wont let me cut her long beautiful hair....strange.
