Documents Required For Car Ownership?

Hi

Before I drive all the way to Nathon, does anyone know exactly what Samui immigration requires to obtain the papers necessary to take to the licensing centre?

I'm buying a car shortly and a I believe I need work permit, passport photos but not sure if I need some sort of certificate of residency.

Any help appreciated.
