#5287879 German Stabs Udon Thani Girlfriend 17 Times To Death

Posted ronthai on 2012-05-10 11:41:12

Poor girl. RIP and best to her family.

To all readers, yes so the girl was messing around, what else is new? We are in Thailand and it happens with most girls (and guys). No need to stab them or get upset. Just walk away and try the next one. If farangs kill every Thai that cheats on them there will be very few Thais left for dating farangs.

So don't go bashing the girl and remember most farangs also cheat on their Thai partner.

#5228167 Thai Cabinet Approves Ban On Imports Of Used Vehicles

If you can´t stop the corruption in customs department, just ban import of used cars and the problem is solved. Not?

Thailand will never move up from their third world status, as long as they are not willing to fight corruption.

Oh gosh, it took me five minutes to pick myself up off the floor from laughing so hard...for sake of public safety the govt says...I'm sure this restriction on the import of used vehicles will make a major reduction in all the dangerously maintained and loaded vehicles on Thailand's roads everyday.   Oh gosh, excuse me, I'm falling to the floor again in laughter....Posted Image

So what else is left?  Is Thailand the only country in the world with such a bizar law ?

Well they helpfully left sportscars out of the list...

I am missing something here, the Gov claims that Thailand is going to be the Detroit of Asia car manufacturing.  Take that with a grain of salt.  But, it is true that many cars are manufactured in Thailand and sold domestically. so why are used cars here so dam_n expensive, I mean crap boxes.

Old clapped out junk that you could easy buy for $500-$1000 in USA, Australia or Europe you have to pay $6000+ in Thailand.

#5127495 Thai Taxi Meter Rates Set To Increase In Mid-April

I wish they had considered regulating the rental price of the taxi to the driver.

While the yellow/green taxis are operated as a company, the solid-colour ones are rented to the driver at a daily rate. If you just increase the per km or flagfall, the owners will just get out their calculator again and raise the rental price. This is what happened last time.

Cheers

that's a good move , taxi drivers need to make a bit more money .... Reducing the amount of taxis in Bangkok will help also as on my opinion they are too many taxis ,

I think there would be many who would disagree, as the availability of cheap taxi transport is one of the attractive elements of a mostly unattractive city.  The number will be determined by supply and demand.  If they weren't being used, and were not making money, they would not exist in such large numbers.
