Is the Iron Bridge the one way bridge close to Rimping Market, the one the Chiang Mai Magic Map calls Lek Bridge?

Grow your own or grin and bear it.

Yes, there are places which promise pesticide-free, fertiliser-free food.... and you may trust them if you like.

Best advice sell the Duc and Buick, you will never see them again  Buy something to replace them in Thailand, the ducati is easy, Buick almost no chance, but there are other collectables about if you are prepared to spend money to restore

#5031750 An Ideal Bike For Touring Chiangmai'S Countryside

Posted Pond Life on 2012-02-05 17:27:41

Quote from Ziffle:
"Do you never want to take a passenger, or go on multi-day trips? How will you carry the duffle bag? Really, how much joy will you find buzzing along on a small 125 on day 5 of a trip down to Krabi? You'll enjoy touring the countryside on an appropriate bike for long-distances and highway speeds. That would be a big bike, not a scooter."

Thats how you carry luggage & someone can sit back there if reqd.
About 600 to 800 B
How much for panniers on a "real" bike ?

#5029958 Amulet Necklaces - In San Sai Area

Posted WinnieTheKhwai on 2012-02-04 22:41:06

I usually go to Thippanet market for all my amulet needs, which is pretty much the local 'Voodoo 'R Us'   Big selection of cords and chains.  But that's in town, of course.

Yes, you did mentioned the market but he wanted to buy a "necklace cord thingy" and you said you bought a jewelers loupe there. Totaly irrelevant to the question, and I thought that

I don't know why I bother, but in case anyone else is reading who's somewhat detached from most common stuff you find in Thailand:   People who take amulets seriously, especially traders, analyze amulets in the greatest possible detail; not unlike an art trader would very closely examine an artwork to establish it's authenticity, or a diamond trader would look at diamonds to assess quality.  This is why jewelers loupes are often for sale at/near where amulets are traded.  Just like cords are.
