Hi. I have the Triple B service costing around 1100 Baht a month and I live in Chiang Mai. For the past three days or so I simply cannot access a whole bunch of mostly international (British) websites. These are not obscure sites, eg, Nottingham Evening Post, Nottingham Forest FC etc, cant get them at all, and yet theres a whole lot of other British sites (including the BBC itself) which do open, albeit a bit slower than normal.
Anyone else experienced this problem? I wonder if its a BBB thing, a Chiang Mai thing, or a bigger problem generally right now. To be fair my BBB service has been steady and faultless this last year or so, hence my concern about this?
Any thoughts welcomed!!

Lease On Property
2012-04-02 17:49:39
Usual situation. Buying house in Thai partners ( as in many years live in GF but not married) name, need to protect my ability to live in house should anything happen to her.
Does a very simple lease from her (she is quite happy) simply stating that her house is leased to me for a 30 year period, witnessed as appropriate, have legal standing, or do I have to go down the "usufruct" (30 yrs renewable by the next 30 etc.etc)
Frankly, if I can avoid lawyer involvement at all I would be very happy.
Any advice from experience greatly appreciated.

Car Audio Repairs?

Hi All. Can anyone recommend a place where you can drive in and they can fix problems with car radio/ cd players etc? My problem is small, and am sure it can easily be fixed by an expert in this field. Dont want to lash out for a new system at this time!!
Thanks a lot.

Photography Exhibition, Airport Plaza.

Just thought a heads up to everyone on this would be good. Right now, and I think until 29th January, the Chiang Mai Photographic Group has its annual exhibition right at the entrance to the Northern Village on the 2nd floor of Airport Plaza.
There are a whole bunch of great photos, taken all over the World, not just in Thailand, most of which are so good, so interesting, that your average "point and press shutter" person like me gets really jealous and wishes he could even take one shot as good as any of those on display!!
The guy who was looking after the exhibition( I think theres someone there most afternoons) when I was there has all the details of where and when the CM Photographic Group meets, and he told me its a very inclusive group, open to all if you have an interest in the art of photography.
Check it out! Well worth an hour of your time!!
