If you are not Thai, it's not free.  That doesn't mean you can't go to the hospitals, but you will pay.
I'm not Thai. I have a Thai medical card and I don't pay for medicines, or treatment, at the hospital I'm registered at.

Really?  Wow, then I was totally misinformed.  I live in my wife's Mooban.  If I can get a Thai Medical Card without being a permanent resident or a citizen, please do share how I would go about obtaining one.  I'm sure Stranski would love to know too!  Posted Image

Just get registered in the Thai Social Security system, usually through your employer.

Since your wife is also a foreign national and neither of you can own land in Thailand, who owns the land and house you recently purchased? Or is the lease deal not yet finalized.

The 12.5% Building and Land Tax is the responsibility of the landowner or lessor.

Who actually owns this land with a house that you recently purchased, the wife or girlfriend? I ask because a 30-year lease from your wife is basically worthless

Building and Land Tax, 12.5% on commercial (leased) property. Local Land Tax, a few baht per rai per year.
