I live right beside the canal in Maerim and I can hear that fire you guys are seeing. It is right across the canal burning the forest on the small mountain.

We live a few K north of there and have to cross that highway everyday. My wife is reading the report now and it says that the kindergarden school bus pulled out in front of the bus that was coming from CM. The bus then swerved and hit the pajero which was coming from the north. A old lady in the pajero was killed. Someone on a motorbike also hit the pajero from behind.

Maybe they should put the garbage fee up then they could afford to get rid of it instead of throwing it all at the back of the empty lot by the canal. Disgusting.

My wife is a real estate agent and her phone has been ringing non stop this last week with people calling from BKK. One women came yesterday and put a down payment down the same day. She has shown quite a few people around and a lot of them talk about getting away from the floods. Also people looking for a place to rent.She took two couples around this week that are talking to the bank about loans both from BKK. How many will buy I dont know,but the floods are making people think about moving up here.
