I have traveled the world and seen some unusual habits here and there, but in all honestly, for sure the natives here take the first prize in having some of the scummiest individual you can meet on earth between them.
I know that no official statistics on this front have been published yet, but for what i can see in the everydays life, i have some fair ground to reinforce my personal opinions with any passing day.....

Psicho Slim, The Unexpected Rock Act That Came Out Of Nowhere

Well, they might be coming out as a surprise, but being a copycat in Thailand surely it's nothing new.
Stealing the work that someone else has done and try to arrange it in a tipical poor fashion is a cultural thing rather than anything else, however, when big institutions as GMM becomes involved is even more worrying...
"I would like the government to give priority to our country rather then other foreigner countries" this came out from the lead singer, perhaps a bit worried about some possible troubles coming out from abroad.....nothing new anyways, as the local habit is to claim ownership of anything they can put their hands on, and then simply try to hyde as much as possible about the real facts.

Where To Find Electronic Components Anywhere In Thailand?
2012-04-27 10:17:43
Hi all !
I have been searching on the forum and also browsed something like 25 pages in the hobby section to find this, but nothing!
What i am looking for, are transistors, condenser, resistances, etc.. that kind of stuff, i am not interested in replica toys or anything like that, it must to be a place willing to sell to the general public.
I would like to build by myself an usb servo controller to start with, but future projects are a touchscreen desk and other stuff i can have some fun when i am not busy with ThaiVisa
, for the servo controller i am also considering the purchase of one already assembled, as long as it works and the prices are reasonable, just to start with, but to find a proper shop is a must, thank you for any help in advance

Multinational Superstore Chain, Selling Expired Food

Noticed lately a crowd around this stall at Tesco, with a few staff apparently promoting those items, 4 Bahts each instead of the usual 15 Bahts, wow, being aware of the thai business thinking i immediately started looking for the "damage" that those items would create, because if they are in a rush to give them away, it must to be something hideying there.
I started thinking and talking what i was thinking at the same time, in the interested crowd, to my other very nicely shaped friend, which as soon as i noticed the fault, understood, and we left, followed by some others which spotted where the trouble was.
I wasn't expecting this from a big chain as Tesco, i could understand the small mom & pops store don't giving a flick about their customers health just to profit a few pennies, but a multimillion $ store operation as Tesco, how disappointing!

A 300 Bahts Burger In The Sticks
2012-04-10 04:20:38
Went recently out for dinner with a nicely shaped friend of mine, curious to try this new place out.
Around our area (Prachinburi region), we haven't got the choices of western food easily available in more civilized areas and this place was looking promising.
Once inside we realize that no other customers were around, really, nobody at all at dinner time, and there was something between 5 and 10 people apparently working on the floor area.
I understand that efforts have been made to make the place looks better of what is around, apart from the toilettes that make you feel as you are in a petrol station, but how can one expect to sell a burger for a whole day wage of a local person??
Seems to be another case of thai business sense at his best....
