Immigration House Visit

2012-03-10 09:56:53

Hi Guys, anyone have any experience with immigration making a visit to your stated address while you were not there? Do they actually make visits or is it dependent on the immigration office? How seriously do they treat breaches of this during the 30 consideration period?

Thanks in advance!

Income Statement

2012-03-02 08:40:30

Hi All, apologies for asking this question as I know its been covered many times but I need to get something clarified before going ahead.

I am applying for my One year extension based on marriage (Marriage Visa) and have all the neccessary documents, however when it comes to the income statement proving a salary greater than 40k THB per month I have a query. The income statement / schedule form the company back home which pays me covers the last six months payments(just the way the company arranged it), is that acceptable or do they require a list for a full year?

This statement will of course be stamped by my embassy and I can provide my Thai Bank book which matches these inward payments. Is that sufficent or do I have to contact the company back home and ask for a full year? I ask this because the immigration office said I need either 400k in the bank or minimum salary of 40k per month (no less than 400k per annum). I have only two weeks left before my 90 day imm 0 visa expires so am under time pressure.

Also the payments for the six months are paid every two months but exceed the required 40k per month when calculated out, is it a problem that the payments are not monthly?.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paddy

Thai Residency / Id Card For Foreign Born Son

2012-01-31 16:00:24

Hi All, I know this may have been discussed before but despite searches on this forum and on google I can't find the exact answer I'm looking for (mainly because the majority of queries deal with passport requirements rather than citizenship information for a foreign born child).

Anyway, I'm trying to get a Thai ID card / Permanent Residency for my Irish born son (his mother is of course Thai), we are hoping to apply for this here in Thailand as we are are now living here as a family. He doesn't need a Thai passport as he has his Irish Passport for travel. I have been told that if my Thai wife and I present ourselves to the relevant department, with our own documents and of course an embassy stamped and certified translation of our sons Irish birth certificate, then our son is entitled to Thai citizenship.

My questions are, do any of you have any experience with this and if so can you pass on the procedure for this type of application or at least the office from where I need to make the application?

Thank you very much in advance, Paddy.
