Transfer Visa Stamp To New Passport

2012-05-21 11:39:39

I have searched the Immigration website but have not found an answer to my question, which is as follows.

My booked extension date for my Non Imm visa is May 29th & today, May 21st I received a new British passport. Do I have to apply to have the existing stamp transferred before I go in one week to apply for my annual extension?

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

Parcel To Vientiane

2011-12-12 07:09:13

I need to get a parcel from CM to Vientiane as quickly as possible, NOT as cheaply as possible. As it is personal items and needs to be delivered to the recipient I was thinking of using one of the courier companies. Any advice please. Thank you in anticipation.

Thank You Tv Members

Last week I was in Johannesburg &  very worried about the flooding.
I have a personal interest in 3 different locations in the city, not to mention those where friends live. To have all the reports and the many references to other sites was a great help and brought peace of mind in difficult times. Happily none of my personal concerns became serious problems, but it was a close run thing at one site where the water came within centimetres of causing a lot of damage. I really feel for those who were less fortunate.

I would like to thank all those who posted flood news. It was a remarkable effort to help each other and a source of valuable information that reminded me of a New Year weekend in Edinburgh many decades ago when a huge snow storm closed down the city & stranded many people. A local radio station suspended all programmes & became a channel for people to help each other. This was a long before the advent of the internet. This time TV was a similar source of much need contact and help in times of need.

We may have  few more days or weeks of trying times to get through but TV members will I am sure be a great and valued resource.
Thank you.Posted Image

City Car

2011-09-08 14:01:12

We are thinking of adding a small city car to our household & have three on our list, the Honda Brio, Kia Picanto - new model, & Nissan March.

I am a Honda fan but notice that the Brio does not have a rear screen wash-wiper which seems to me to be a bad safety point, & the car seems rather squashed in the back. The Kia gets good reviews in the UK press but their Thai website is awful which makes me question the technical & service capability of Yontrakit, even though there is a 7 year warranty. There seem to be a lot of March's around but I am a bit wary of Nissan build quality.

Any advice from owners out there? We live in Chiang Mai & need to do lots of city driving down narrow sois, but also take trips into the mountains so do not want to be embarrassingly slow on the inclines!!! Our choice would be the top spec variant of any of these makes. Toyota is not an option as they have an ageing model line up, not to mention those quality issues.

Any comments are welcome. Thanks.

I Fancy A Tart

I have a craving for homemade jam tarts but have not been able to find any frozen short crust pastry in Tops KSK or Rimping Meechok. Any ideas where I might have more success?Posted Image
