Luggage Repair - Where?

Anyone know where I can get my cabin bag repaired in Pattaya. The retractable handle is stuck and as it's an expensive one, I would like to keep it if possible.

Bruno'S Wine Dinner -

2011-04-10 19:50:08

I went to Bruno's restaurant last night with friends on reccommendation that their wine dinners were very good.

Food was passable to say the least - crabmeat and prawn starter worth 30 B, veal cheeks ravioli which tasted of nothing, followed by a reasonable steak accompanied with 20 grams of potatoes followed by desert.
Wines were all from Chile and Austarlia andfinihed off with a Cinzano Gran Dolce (cheap and undrinkable). I looked up the Yali Chilean wines which were nothing special, and bottles are worth 7 USD, so Fredi the chef must have made a killing on last night's full house, price per head was a mere 2500 Baht.

I shan't be returning for wine dinners or anything else.

Bruno must be turning in his grave, it used to be THE BEST restaurant in town!

New Scam For Arriving Passengers

2010-12-07 11:47:45

As I arrived back at Suvarnabhumi Airport a few days ago, I was amazed to see my name being held up by two different people. I always book my car with image limo as they have very safe drivers. I recognised my driver as wearing the Image unifom, but went to the other person who was holding my name on a card, as it felt something was not right. He just grabbed my bags and expected me to follow him. I asked where was he taking me, to which he replied the car park, so asked again and he asked me where I was going i.e. Bangkok, Pattaya.
I just said thank you, grabbed my bags and walked over to my Image limo  driver, who told me that some people look at names on boards that drivers hold up, copy them and hold them up to steal their passengers. God knows if they actually take them to their destinations!

Welcome to Thailand!

Goddamn Thappraya Road - When Will It Be Over?

2010-11-28 14:31:43

It must be at least 4 or 5 years since the works started, and the most crucial piece between Theprasit road and Jomtien fruit market (passed hanuman statue) looks like it may be done during the high season. Most days, you are lucky to see half a dozen workers. We'll be lucky if it's finished by Songkran!

Does the Mayor of Pattaya ever wander to Jomtien to see for himself. I know people get tired of complaining, but this has been the slowest project in my 10 years in Pattaya.
Sorry I forgot the burying of the electrity lines on beach road.
