Could someone please advise where non native English speakers can take the TOEIC test for the purpose of obtaining a Waiver from the TCT.

Received an email from a former collegue who said he was "studying" at Headway University. He was recommending their online Education degrees as they can be studied fast track and can be done in a year.

I looked them up on the internet. Looks Ok but something just doesnt feel right about it. They are talking about something called CPAAS calculations.

I have Googled them and have found no negative info. Have also cross referenced them against several lists of unacreddited university lists and have come up with nothing. Checked diploma mill lists and again nothing.

Anybody know this place. Seems too good to be true to me but cant find anything against them.

I need to find a list of phonetic symbols. Anybody know a good website. I have googled it but it all looks like a bit of a minefield.

A program to translate script from English to Phonetics to English would be quite helpful too.

Transfer Waiver?

I'm 5 months into my second waiver from TCT. Work is not going too well. I have been offered another position, nearer home, better conditions and a higher salary.

Will the TCT change the name of the school on my waiver letter or do I have to apply for a new one? Either way does anyone know if this will cause a problem with the TCT. Thanks.

Extending "O" With Work Permit.

I have been on a mulit entry O since November. I am due to do a border crossing on Friday.

However I have recently started teaching, again, and have today received my work permit.

Is it now possible for me to go to Immigration, in my case Khorat, and extend my existing permission to stay by using the working documents?
