Two Aussies still facing the death penalty for drug offences in 2005, don't think this will be any quicker.

This is just another example of what Thug mentality the Reds are.......
Agreed but the actress is clearly no saint either.

Agreed 100%, JT. Her comments were not actually made directly "in the Thai press" but were made on facebook and copied as headlines on the front page of some Thai papers and they were more than just a bit offensive, saying how happy she was that he had died in pain, how she hoped that he, his family, and anyone like him would rot in hell, that her breasts (for which she is best known) deserved to be remembered more than him, etc.
Obviously no believer in karma then, more of the Marie Antoinette disposition.

I really doubt he'll get back into Thailand. His plan to simply change his name and get a new passport sounds as well thought out as the plan that got him into trouble was!

From http://www.direct.go...sport/DG_174104

"If your name has changed and doesn't match your birth, naturalisation or registration certificates, you'll need to provide evidence of your name change. The Identity and Passport Service (IPS) will need to see documents showing both the date of and reason for your name change.

You must send original documents, not copies. IPS will accept laminated documents as proof of name changes...

...In all other cases, IPS will need to see your change of name deed. If you have changed your name more than once, you will need to send evidence of all changes of name."

The plan may be stupid but its 100% correct. Your link refers to a "first adult passport" , well he has already had that. Thereafter the fact that they have had a previous passport starts the identity chain. He doesn't even need a deed poll. A change of name form and a statement saying that he now wishes to be known as.......??? duly witnessed is all that is required.

Let you in to a big secret,

http://www.airbnb.co.uk/

Its like ebay for accomodation. Btw, I use it in Los as well.

Bear in mind your dates make a massive difference. Scotland is mind-blowing by any standards (and I'm English)and luxury camper vans are a lot cheaper out of season and certainly give you a chance to see some of the worlds best scenery. 30 mins out of Glasgow and the wife will be "Wow"....
