well for those a little squeemish, you know the ones always negative against anything the elite card well did anyone read the article yesterday in the business section of the bangkok post?
makes for very interesting reading for the future of the elite card
now i undertsand that bangkok post articles cannot be posted so i wont post it, but i think people should start to understand that it could be the start of a new dawn for visas for foreigners as lets just say, having a visa because someone is 50 years or over in my eyes is a little twisted when people from all ages groups can offer just as much to a country

aree always been a great place to live, tree lined sois, a village like atmosphere amongst the residents
the area begins really between soi 3 and soi 11 phayonthin, you can argue the sois are not aree sois, but they all part of the same area, with many great places to eat drink, it doesnt have any large nightclubs, but it has over the last few years had a few pub reataurants down soi 5 phayonthin.
basically its an area of wealthy thais who work in the government, police force and army and banks with a few tv stations, because thats whats near aree, army bases, house of parliament, etc
its a great location to get around bangkok, yes the bts, but also by car its easy to get to the river, dusit, rathcada, khao san, ladprao etc, then you have the higway entrance just off rama 6 the back way to soi 5 phayonthin.
anyway who thinks this area is crap is a moron

as duan has stated, i also remember this, as it was stated by a sunbelt asia lawyer on this subject on thaivisa and it was then posted in the royal gazette to become officially a law or something along those lines, so as the sunbelt lawyer at the time had access to information that very few would gain the same access too, would it be possible that the law is still active or they passed a new resolution to abandon this law and we just had no notification of it
i also dont think that customer service staff manning the callcentre will know about the visas etc, if as some state it could be cancelled then what happens to the visa already in the passport if it say expires in one year or 2 years, would be the same as if you have a work permit and then leave the job so the permit instantly is cancelled or would they still allow extensions up unitl the expiry of the 5 year visa in your passport and no longer allow re-newels
there really is alot of unaswered topics here and if there is alaw still active on the 5 year visa then what happens to that law
