Has anyone got any experiance with GPS laptimers ? I've done a bit of an internet search and prices seem a little on the high side to me. Seems like around 450-900 US$.
I've read and heard talk that some of the more top end mobile phones can perform the same with an app download. Anyone tryed these. I would suspect that the gps receiver in the phone might not quite be up to the task.

Can anyone help me with info in regards to internet connections. Is it correct that i need a landline phone connection at my house in order to get broadband. I have had this connection at previous houses I've stayed at in Pattaya but have gotten frustrated with the phone companies in the past cutting my line etc. I presently use one of those aircards which is ok for normal internet surfing etc but no good for any type of downloading.
Anyone know about options of satellite high speed connections ? I have heard of some places offering this and have also heard of I think Sophon offering some kind of service.
I'm moving into a new house shortly and would like to set it up now before moving in. My preference is for prepaid type setups, conveniance and lack of hassle is worth paying extra for me. Since I'm away a lot monthly bills don't work well for me.
