Tiny steak or big, hungry, falang?

I'd say medium, something like 250 grs.

Concerning beefsteaks, I see 2 main categories in CM.

The restaurants using beef from local market. They beat it up or work it with pineapple juice or other to make it tender. Personally I cannot eat these. They are around 150 Thb in restaurants.

The restaurants using Import (Aus or NZ) and K.U. Beef: As for import, i don't bother as i don't really want to eat meat coming from thousands of Kms. I like K.U. it is good beef. These restaurants sell their steaks from 250 to 500 Thb per piece, depending of the piece of meat. Some good names, Chez Marco, La Terrasse, now Lapin, ...

Hi Everybody,

I have been looking for natural fibre flooring too.

I need to cover a 30 sqm area and I would like to find sisal rolls or water hyacinth rolls in Chiang Mai, but I cannot find. In France they can retail at about 400 Thb a sqm.

Shepsel has been talking about shops on Hang dong road... Anybody knows where I could find these rolls, in Chiang Mai, or elsewhere in Thailand.

Thanks in advance.

We not all have to sell Singha or Chang Beer to make a living.

Get some imagination a little bit, there are a lot of things to do in CM...

Who say's I don't already have four successful businesses already, but unlike most I decided a long time ago that the only way to keep a reliable source of custom is to target the Thai market. There's no money in businesses that accommodate foreigners at the minute in Thailand and if anyone says different, then get off your arse, drive out of your moo baan and take a look around town. I thought it would be nice to give someone a nice idea to try and do something that only one place in town offers. Good food,Good beer, Great price! But obviously people on TV who sit on their computers all day moaning about every little thing they can think of, because they have nothing better to do with their sad lives, know better then me. Good Luck to the new owners of Tuskers.

Pasta cafe,

From Nimman road, go down soi 5 almost until the end and is on your left. It is a nice house with a garden.

Obviously, I can recommend the Pasta, Lasagna etc...

For the prices, 120 to 150 a dish, down to below hundred for soups etc...

Friendly owners and good service...

On another note, many Good Japanese restaurants, among them, Rico de Rica, but I don't remember the exact soi...

good luck
