Rain Gutter Supply Shop
2012-04-05 15:26:04
Looking for a shop here in Chiang Mai who supplies the sheet metal down tubes for rain gutters. Ideally I'd prefer pre-painted or powder coated instead of raw metal. Don't need installation; just looking for a supply source. Any thoughts and thanks.
Retirement Visa Versus Marriage Visa
2011-03-18 09:18:56
I currently have a retirement O-A visa, up for renewal soon. As I am married to a Thai national, and am briefly traveling back to the states I thought I would get a tourist "O" visa for my return to Thailand. Then I would convert this tourist visa to a Marriage visa here in Chiang Mai.
We have all the necessary documentation to do so, - certified marriage certificates, Thai translations, Thai back account, house blue book, photos, etc.
Can anyone point out the cons of a marriage visa over a retirement visa?
Right our the gate, with a marriage visa I would only have to have 400k baht in my Thai bank account for 2 months, versus 800k baht in the account for 3 months with an retirement O-A.
I have heard conflicting information that a 1-year marriage visa requires me to leave the country every 90 days and re-enter, which makes no sense. I think they are confusing that with the 90 day reporting which is still required and no big deal.
Thanks all!!

Pay U.S. Taxes Working Here?
2011-02-17 09:47:29
I have a friend and his Thai wife coming here from the U.S. and he wants to work. If he works here for a Thai company, as an American citizen, does he have to pay U.S. taxes on that money as well as Thai taxes? What is the Thai tax bracket structure?
Business Crad Printer
2011-01-05 15:54:56
Can anyone recommend a good digital printer company for business cards here in Chang Mai? I say 'digital' as I don't need a huge quantity that offset printers usually want. My color card is in jpeg format or I can provide my original Photoshop file. Thanks all!
Non-Immigrant O "Marriage" Visa
2010-09-10 11:34:58
I currently have a 1-year retirement visa (Non-Immigrant O) and would like to change to a Non-Immigrant O with Thai spouse. That would reduce my usual 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account for three months to 400,000 baht. My question is, we were married in the states, not here in Thailand. We have our US marriage certificate and a Thai translation of that document which we will get notarized. Being that the marriage did not take place here, should that pose any issues if we have all the other necessary documentation (i.e. money in Thai bank - three months, bank book, copies, photos of us around the house, etc)?
