#3896465 Resurgence Of Thai Red Shirts Causes New Concerns

Posted SamritT on 2010-09-21 09:18:51

The decline in Red-shirt supporter is unbelievable. From a million down to 5,000. At this rate, the number of Red-shirt supports will go negatives by year end.

I do not quite support the view. I think we are not to be blamed. Only Thaksin & the Red-shirt are to to blame. Without them, there will be no bombing & arson attack, and the death of 91 people this year. I am open to different views.

Quite how the ordinary person with no power is as responsible as the power players after having their cake and eating it is as responsible for the mess is open to question.

The players are obviously manouvering around trying to find a large common ground so things can get back to normal with mosty of the old players back in the game. That is what "we are all responsible" means.

Apologies for wandering a bit of topic but I feel that in a situation such as this (if these projects go ahead) and there are safety issue corners found to be cut because somebody influential wanted their piece of the budget pie they should be publicly executed.

I'm not kidding.

The army investigators are collecting scientifc evidence to find out how the weapons went missing

If this investigation is as thorough as the one looking into the deaths of soldiers and protesters earlier this year, the report will doubtless read something like:

'An external physical force exerted by persons unknown caused the weapons to change location from a known to an unknown place. This is how the weapons went missing.'

Case closed.

The mistaken stand that because the cause is not completely clear no action is possible or at least a waste of money cannot be right.
Raise the money needed by levying a huge tax on every country with an active volcano.

Volcanic eruptions actually release suphur dioxide which cools the atmosphere. So they may be our great hope in terms of halting so-called "global warming"
The cooling effect of sulphur dioxide released by volcanoes is very short lived. And they also kick out other stuff....

Quote

Chlorine

Chlorine gas can negatively effect the earth's environment. Chlorine is emitted from volcanoes in the form of hydrochloric acid (HCl), which breaks down into chlorine and chlorine monoxide (ClO) molecules. The sulfate aerosols furnish sites for chemical reactions that release the chlorine atoms. These eruption-derived chlorine atoms are added to man-produced chlorine already present in the stratosphere. The reactive chlorine atoms then proceed to destroy ozone, with each chlorine atom being recycled many times.

The issue I have with "the world's heating up and it's our fault" brigade is that they tend to focus on CO2 as being the only reason, there are many factors in what causes climate change, and 'man' makes very little contribution to most of them.

Paul and Arthur said it best.

"all lies and jests, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest"

(P.S. still gave you a greenie though for at least thinking about it)

After statement 1 - Suthep say " Don't worry, Saudi misunderstood, Thailand have explained, and Saudi is now happy.
After statement 2 - Suthep say " Don't worry, Saudi misunderstood, Thailand have explained, and Saudi is now happy.
After statement 3 - Suthep say " Don't worry, Saudi misunderstood, Thailand have explained, and Saudi is now happy.

Why can't the Saudi understand that ALL PEOPLE ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY". The Saudi now is getting on Suthep nerves. How dare them. Thailand do not stone women to death just because she has been raped and hence considered un-pure.

Guess I'm a little thick but I just figured it out.  Bottom right corner of every post, except your own, is a  green + and a 0.  If you click the green plus button, the 0 turns to 1 (+0 to +1).  Presumably that means you like the post or the OPs topic and there is a number added to that person's reputation.

Easy enough but if people don't know about it or don't care about it, what good is it? ;)

OK I just gave you one for that post.
