She does not go out to work,she stays at home looking after the child. She does own something  500,000 baht in the bank,
Plus we stated that our child would be remaining in Thailand while we visited the uk.

She can access her bank account from the UK and empty the account. She doesn't have a job to keep her here. How many countless Thais have left their child with relatives in Thailand when going to live abroad?

You would have been better off saying she knows no one in the UK and wants to see Big Ben or something, if they know you are there to support her there and she has no serious ties to Thailand (job, assets etc.) then they assume there is a good chance she will just stay in the UK.
