We haven't had  a proper meet up in a long while.....so I thought I would guage interest.

I was talking to an old friend from my backpacking days in India and Thailand this morning and the conversation turned to the many visits we made to Thong Nai Pan Noi.

Lazy days spent swimming and sunbathing, chatting up the girls, and almost every evening off to a party at one bar or another.

Dancing under the stars there on the sand epitomised for me what the full moon party experience should really be. Those really were great times on that beach.

The place has changed much in the last few years with the building of new 5 star hotels yet I still wander over there from time to time.

It has not lost all of its magic and neighbouring beaches carry on the tradition.

So there is probably my favourite place in Thailand....I am sure you have yours.

I would love to hear your stories...be it a spot where you met your partner....or had a life changing event....what ever the reason please post it so we can enjoy!!

I'm looking to fly from the UK to BKK 20/21 July returning August 5/6. Cheapest fares are coming in at £900 economy and £2k for biz class.

That is more Xmas prices to me. Am I missing something here?

Sometimes I have noticed that the responses on here don't reflect that fact.

Perhaps some of you feel the same i don't know.

All I can say to you is when you look at my lazy hammock loving avatar you consider the ten miles I walked over the Great Glen in Scotland today.

Also that I miss Thailand terribly and look forward to returning soon.

Really I am wondering what is on your minds?

All of you are human behind those avatars and nicks....at least let us all know you are there.

Perhaps then we can better understand one another's views.
